Education and Talents

Turning social and economic challenges into capabilities and quality jobs

education

We build learning pathways around real projects, so people develop practical skills, professional habits, portfolios, and confidence through work that matters. The focus is not training for its own sake, but growing individual and collective capabilities that can support fairer, more innovative, and more productive industries.

The Challenge

Economies in transition need people who can proactively contribute before everything is already clear

Places like Sulcis-Iglesiente, Sardinia, and many other territories in transition are being asked to build new economic futures while their education, labour, and innovation systems are still catching up. The challenge is not simply a lack of training: it is a weak connection between learning, real work, local organizations, and emerging industries.

VLK Goal

education

Our goal is to build a work-ready learning system where live projects become training grounds for skills, confidence, and professional contribution. By 2030, we plan to be able to show that it has helped more people develop job-ready capabilities through project-based learning, and that those capabilities have supported real products, services, organizations, and local initiatives.

Focus Areas

  1. 01

    New Generations Education

Young people need earlier contact with tech tools, real projects, and new professional cultures and opportunities. In economies in transition, education should help new generations to see themselves as people who can build, test, create, and contribute.

Some of the things we do:

    • Challenge-based labs with schools and youth groups
    • Maker, design, coding, AI, media, and product labs
    • Mentorship & knowledge sharing
  2. 02

AI & Digital Capabilities for SMEs and Public Administration

Many SMEs and public offices need digital and AI capabilities and technologies, and to adopt mindfully. Real adoption is about understanding what is useful, changing workflows, building confidence, managing knowledge, and keeping human judgment in the right places.

Some of the things we do:

    • Digital capability clinics for SMEs and public bodies
    • AI workflow sprints around real operational processes
    • Internal tools, dashboards, automations, and knowledge-retrieval prototypes
    • Adoption playbooks for responsible AI, data use, governance, and maintenance
    • Staff training
  3. 03

    Reskilling & Upskilling

Transition requires people already inside organizations, sectors, and communities to adapt their experience to new tools, roles, and operating models. Workers, professionals, entrepreneurs, public employees, and community actors already hold valuable knowledge; the challenge is to translate it into new forms of contribution.

Some of the things we do:

    • Reskilling programs around real sector challenges
    • Upskilling labs for SME teams, public offices, cultural organizations, and local services
    • Practical assessments and development roadmaps
    • Mentoring for people repositioning their professional profile
